There is widespread consensus that the current pharmaceutical system is not functioning adequately. Change is needed to ensure a more sustainable and equitable future. We must develop a broader strategy to move towards a public pharmaceutical infrastructure that is driven by public health needs. This will require intense political mobilization of European civil society, which this event is being organized to ignite.
